REPORT UPDATE: Portsmouth Raceway Park & Mudlick Valley Raceway - Where Things Stand Today
Nearly three weeks after the initial spark that set Southern Ohio buzzing, we now have the clearest picture yet of where things stand regarding the future of Portsmouth Raceway Park and the status of the 4B4EVER event.
This update is based only on verifiable public statements from PRP and Mudlick Valley Raceway.

On the morning of June 22nd, PRP released a new statement confirming that:
• Significant work has already been completed at the facility
• The ownership transfer process is still underway
• They are hoping to have the transfer wrapped up this week
• Fans should expect changes under the Jent family, and PRP is asking the community to embrace the transition
• The Jents will be shaping this new chapter in their own vision, even as the PRP name remains
This is the strongest and most direct confirmation yet that the track is actively moving toward new ownership under the Jent family of Mudlick Valley Raceway.
PRP emphasized unity and patience as the transition continues, noting that "While the name remains the same, things will definitely change and that’s a good thing! The Jent’s need to make this new chapter theirs."

At 12:40 PM on June 24th, Mudlick Valley Raceway officially announced that the 6th Annual 4B4EVER will take place on Saturday, July 4th... at Mudlick, not PRP.
Key details from their announcement:
• Event remains at Mudlick Valley Raceway in Wallingford, KY
• Co‑sanctioned by the Valvoline American Late Model Iron-Man Series and the Battle of the Bluegrass DIRTcar Series
• $10,000‑to‑win
• UMP Modifieds and Sport Mods also on the card
• Fireworks during intermission
• More details to come
This confirms that the 4B4EVER will not be the reopening event for PRP on July 2nd, despite the early speculation triggered by the poster shared on June 6th.
𝑾𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝑾𝒆 𝑲𝒏𝒐𝒘 𝑹𝒊𝒈𝒉𝒕 𝑵𝒐𝒘:
Confirmed:
• PRP and the Jent family are actively working through an ownership transfer
• PRP has completed substantial on‑site work in preparation for reopening
• PRP expects the transfer to be finalized as early as this week
• Mudlick Valley Raceway will host the 2026 4B4EVER
• The July 2nd date referenced in the original poster has not been reaffirmed by PRP
Not Confirmed:
• PRP’s official reopening date
• PRP’s 2026 schedule
• Whether the 4B4EVER will return to PRP in future seasons
𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑩𝒊𝒈𝒈𝒆𝒓 𝑷𝒊𝒄𝒕𝒖𝒓𝒆:
• The early June poster lit the fuse.
• The June 7 PRP statement confirmed the negotiations.
• The June 22 update confirmed progress.
• And today’s Mudlick announcement clarifies the immediate future of the 4B4EVER.
What remains unchanged is the sense of momentum:
PRP is coming back... and the community is watching the final steps unfold in real time.
I will continue to follow the story and report only what can be verified.
