Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series and Atomic Speedway Officials Issue Schedule Update Ahead of Buckeye Spring 50

Well... add another chapter to the long history of spring time curve balls in Southern Ohio. The Buckeye Spring 50 at Atomic Speedway won’t be firing off this Friday after all. With the weather looking more like rain all day Thursday and midday Friday, Lucas Oil and Atomic have bumped the show to Sunday, March 29.

Same race. Same field. Same 50 laps. Just a different day.

If you already grabbed tickets, you’re good. They’ll be honored on Sunday. Pit gate opens at noon, general admission at 3pm, and we’ll roll right into Dirt Draft Hot Laps at 5pm before qualifying, heats, B‑Mains, and the big one.

Saturday’s Lucas Oil stop at Brownstown Speedway is still on as planned, so the weekend isn’t losing any horsepower, it’s just shifting the order a bit.

Atomic’s been through this dance before. Spring in the valley is unpredictable, but when that place finally gets a clear day, it wakes up loud. And with the points battle as tight as it is, a Sunday evening Buckeye Spring 50 might end up being the perfect kind of chaos.

I’ll keep you posted if there's any more changes as we get closer. For now, adjust the plans, reset the countdown, and get ready for a Sunday show on the high banks.

Ohio weather has flipped Atomic’s 2026 kickoff harder than turn 3 flipped Daniel Hilsabeck last July - 2025 Independence 50
